A visit to this bare-bones produce supplier will
convince you to cook up some healthy meals full of veggies. The
clean, well-lit aisles are bursting with imported sugar pears, ripe
tomatoes and plump summer squash, all waiting patiently for you to
stir-fry them. This is no sawdust-strewn farmer's market, however.
Farm Boy is a permanent institution in the Long Beach Marketplace,
located conveniently next door to Trader Joe's. The store features
dried fruits and nuts too, as well as pesticide-free
organics.
