Not a snooty "antiquities dealer," On Broadway
Antiques is instead the kind of place where you shop for that one
hidden treasure buried among a lot of junk. The store is rather
small, so you won't find a big selection of furniture, but you'll
find lots of paintings, lamps and china, and you'll be surprised by
the number of old telephones, including a Wedgewood-style phone that
still says "Property of General Telephone" on the bottom. (A note
indicates it still works.) There are also several old typewriters in
good condition, and a wall full of Emmett Kelly, Jr. style clown
paintings.
